Making films inspired by painting, dance and theater, Lucie Pannetrat’s work crosses different fields. Her various experiences lead her to approach by different ways the question of representation and the capacity of the the viewer to believe in images. Shooted in a studio, the film are voluntarily theatrical, the artificiality of the cinema is a way to question the boarder with the audience. Most of the time, the short videos are installed in space where the viewer is submerged. Her work and questions makes her work close to the early days of cinema and burlesque movies.
