PRESENTATION
Jonas Vanderbeke gathers all kinds of images and pictures he finds on the internet, but they always relate to his world and his way of living. He transfers these images into a collage by using Photoshop. This is the basis of his work on the canvas with paint. It’s a game of compositions, lines, ideas and texts but always autobiographical. The big contrast between the graphic elements and the presence of the painter, is very interesting. The artist uses textual elements in his work in combination with visuals. This is not always visual at first sight!
