MOSTAFA SAIFI RAHMOUNI

Mostafa Saifi Rahmouni, born in Rabat (Morocco) in 1991. After studying at Institut National des Beaux-arts of Tetouan in Morocco, he joins the sculpture department of la Cambre in Brussels. He thus lives between Brussels and Rabat. Saifi Rahmouni brings a humanist touch to his work, by confronting us to images, objects, sound and visual installations… in order to show off Human’s sourness. As an artistic agitator, he wills to change our perception of the present time by challenging it with new codes. He is a multimedia artist who uses images of reality, isolate them and give it back to us in the form of questions (like Plato’s shadows). He faces us to our responsibility as thinking beings, questioning us about the different relations (signifying – signified ; apparent subjects – real subjects) he set up in his images’ metaphors.
